12/21/2012 Eve!

Hello you :)

I am writing from the public library in my birth-town, Birmingham, Alabama.  Home to celebrate the holidays with newly widowed Mom, I am enjoying (really) the shutting of some doors and the opening of others.

Here is the plan:
1.  Next week, drive the old Chevy down to reopen the Panama City Beach house.
2.  Return to Birmingham to bring in 2013 with lite champagne with the Mom.
3.  Schedule meetings with the English Program Chair at the local college down there for January to set up instructional labor (mental wages, they call the adjunct life).
4.  Once I return to old St. Pete., now less creepy since the college drama is neatly wrapped up, look into closing out the condo lease as early as possible, pull some cash from my "retirement" account if possible, do a few back and forth trips to seriously set up PCBeach residency.
5.  Resume the oh so fabulous on-line tutoring with Mega-corporation, Pearson.
6.  Be practical and expect the impossible.

Point 6 is something George Friedman mentions in book predicting geopolitical trends for this new, young century.  Not a bad bit of instruction.

Here, in Bama, there is indeed weather.  And I am wearing a fleecy jacket, something I thought I was done with forever.  Well, you just never know, do you?

Peace and power, especially to the New Englanders who lost their darling children to that idiot with the gun, the guns.  Ridiculous.

Kisses and be ready for flashes of non-provocational newsbites . . . at least for now, as another tide rolls in.
